WATCH: Convoys from the Eastern provinces

My interview with the coordinator of the convoy from the people of the eastern provinces in Idlib. Sheikh Hamid al-Azawy was displaced from Hasaka province and now lives in Salqin, northern Idlib.

Most of the trucks with aid supplies that arrived in the first days of the earthquake came from the local population, especially from the eastern provinces. Trucks arrived from Tal Abyad with blankets, mattresses, water, food, compressors and manual drills, and from Ras al-Ayn through Turkey via the Bab al-Salama border crossing to Azaz, Afrin. And by February 15, many trucks had from eastern provinces, from SDF area. From tribes and clans of Deir Ezzor, Raqqa and Hasaka: 37 medium trucks, 40 trucks and 1 refrigerated truck arrived in SNA areas and were distributed in both Jinderes and northern Idlib.
